Cassandra Goes To Ulvade

Cassandra was an Oracle in Greek mythology – cursed by the Gods to be able to predict the future, but also to have no one listen to her.

Spoiler Alert - In DFTRTD the chain of events the book portrays commences with a school shooting. I place that event in an invented ‘small-town America’, that I called Fredericksville, in….Texas.

As you will know, on 24th May 2022 exactly such as event happened, in Ulvade, Texas. To date the death toll is around 20+ people, the vast majority small children. The single perpetrator was a disturbed young man, who was relentlessly bullied at school. This is pretty much a carbon-copy of the way I predicted events in Fredericksville would unfold. Predictably tragic.

To make matters worse, the NRA still proposes to go ahead with their annual gun-fest this weekend, ‘just down the road’ in Houston. At this ‘conference’ Donald Trump, Gregg Abbott and Ted Cruz are all on the list to speak. So what does Allexi predict they will say:

1) This is an issue about mental health, NOT about guns!

2) What we need is MORE guns! Good guys with guns! Let’s arm ALL our teachers to prevent any such event ever occurring again! (Which is, of course, TOTAL bullshit!)

America…you are so predictable. You need to fix yourself, before thousands more are slaughtered.
